Madumere stated this in his office yesterday, March 16, 2017 during a meeting with CGC coordinators from the 27 local government area of the State.
The Deputy Governor on behalf of the governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha congratulated the CGC coordinators for emerging from their respective communities, admonishing them to always propagate government policies and programmes as foot soldiers of the Rescue Mission Government.
He stressed the need for a regular interaction between government and the CGC coordinators, pointing out the need for a feedback mechanism.
Pledging government continued desire in the development of the communities, the Prince Madumere directed the commissioner for Community Government Council, Hon. Innocent Eke to ensure a harmonious house.
In his earlier remarks, the commissioner for CGC, Innocent Eke commended the CGC secretaries ,women and youth leaders of the 602 communities in the State for their desire to serve the state, pointing out that the meeting was to reassure them of their importance to deliver on Rescue Mission Agenda at the grassroots.
Innocent Eke congratulated them for their emergence from their communities, maintaining that the meeting with the government is the beginning of their service to Imo government.
Lending his voice ,a youth leader from Umuoma,Nekede in Owerri West local government area ,comrade Ejiogu Chinedu commended the state government for the meeting ,pointing out that such has not happened in the last five years .
Ejiogu stressed the need for government to be close to CGC coordinators who have the mandate of the people because of their role in propagating government policies to the grass-root .
Present at the meeting were the Secretary to the State Government, Sir George Eche, Chief of Staff, Government House, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, Commissioner for Community Government Council (CGC), Innocent Eke and other government functionaries.
