Imo
Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has applauded Nigerian armed
forces for standing up to the challenge of managing and reducing the
destructive terrorist activities to the barest minimum.
Prince
Madumere made this statement while receiving in audience a delegation
from the Nigerian Army led by the Chief of Administration, Major. Gen.
Idris Alkali when they paid him a courtesy visit in his officer in
Government House, Owerri, Imo State last Monday.
The
number two citizen of Imo State thanked Nigerian Armed Forces for
standing against losing the pride of the Nation by patriotically taking
up the challenge of resolving the problem of insurgency, which he said
would have brought shame to Nigeria if it had been left in the hands of
foreign forces.
He
therefore charged them to continue in their activities of uniting and
defending the territorial integrity of Nigeria, while extolling them for
their patriotism and sacrifices they have relentlessly.
Earlier,
Maj. Gen. Alkali commended Imo State Government for collaborating with
the Nigerian Army at various occasions for strategic purposes that
boarders on creating conducive environment for development of the State
and the Nation at large.
