IMO DEPUTY GOV TO NIGERIANS: DON’T TAKE GOD’S GRACE FOR GRANTED

The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has called on Nigerians not to take the grace of God for granted, stressing that human knowledge alone cannot take people to their destined height.

Prince Madumere made this remark in a thanksgiving, marking the celebration of his wedlock with the wife, Princess Chioma Madumere at Chapel of Praise of Anglican Communion in Lake Malinda, Achi-Mbieri, Mbaitoli local government area of Imo State State.

According to him; “I have always sought the face of God in all my life endeavours and God has been directing me per second, per hour. He has been strength and my fortress. I have also passed through challenges in all facets of life but In all these God preserved me and gave me opportunities to stand firm above all challenges. This is the reason “His Amazing grace shall remain a ceaseless song in my mouth all the days of my life. God has always made me a conqueror and I'm ever grateful to him,” he enthused.”

Dignitaries from all works of life witnessed the grand occasion. The list include, The State Chairman of All progressives Congress (APC), Chief Hilary Eke with all the Party executive, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Paschal Obi, Chief of Staff Government House, Chief Uche Nwosu, Members of Imo State House of Assembly were not left out as we had in attendance, Hon representing Mbaitoli constituency, Hon. Ifeanyi Nnataraonye, his counterparts, Hon. Mrs. Uju Onwudiwe representing Njaba, Hon. Ikechukwu Amuka representing Ideato South, Hon. Arthur Egwim representing Ideato North, Hon. Chika Uju representing Nkwerre, Hon. Dr. Chidi Collins for Isiala Mbano, Hon. Victor Ikonne for Owerri west, Hon. Ikenna Nzerue for Oru East, Hon. Dr. Uche Ejiogu for Ihitte-Uboma, His Royal Majesty, Eze Sam Agunwa Ohiri, Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Auditor General, Local Governments of Imo State, Barr. Osita Nwosu. Others were the Traditional Ruler of Achi-Mbieri autonomous community, HRH, Eze Henry Anoruo Madumere, Medical Director, Federal Medical Center, Owerri, Dr. (Mrs.) Angela Uwakwem and hubby, the Imo first family represented by Chief Gerald and Barr. Jude Okorocha, Chief Marcon Nlemigbo, Engr. Delon Oparaeche, Dr.Henry Okafor among other dignitaries.

Prince Madumere charged Nigerians to always seek the face of God in all projects, indicating that with this, one would always make the right choice. While revealing his belief in divine sense of direction as the guiding principle of life he said; "We must take out time to reflect and watch out for God’s divine direction in all issues of life,” he submitted.

Earlier in his sermon, the Chaplain, Venerable Dr. Sunday Iherue enjoined Christians to always attach value to themselves by how they carry themselves, saying that value attached to oneself is the perception of the people.

“You must not look down on yourself. You must be conscious of the presence of God in all you do. Don’t engage yourself in trying to please all, please God and all other things will fall in line.”

According to him, pleasers of men will end up not pleasing anybody. He also encouraged faithfuls to always bear in mind that God will always protect and uplift the righteous who follows God in prayers and supplication.

In her comment, the wife of the Deputy Governor, Princess Madumere expressed gratitude to God for a successful 4months of marriage and for the grace upon her family while praying that their marriage will continue to be an epitome of love and abundant blessing.
