The Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has scored another land mark goal in the first half of his administration as lifts embargo on employment at all levels in the civil service.

Governor Okorocha disclosed this during an interactive session with the members of Imo State House of Assembly, Headmasters, Principals of schools and Community Government Council officials at Ahiajoku Centre yesterday.

Speaking at the event, Governor Okorocha reiterated his resolve to tackle youth unemployment in imo State with his Youth Must Work Programme, for which he said will mark the end to idleness, which he said is devil's workshop. He decried the level of decadence among the youths, which he said is unfortunate.

"It is unfortunate at the level of social vices among Igbo youth who are hitherto known for their enterprise. Today, it is shameful to see able bodied men and women behaving so beggarly. This is not our culture. We have resolve to bring this shame to abrupt end. Those who refuse to work will be arrested and this the reason for the launching of the Youth-Must- Work Progamme".

Governor Okorocha directed the CGC officials to form committees in their various communities to quickly kick- start the Youth- Must-work programme to salvage the situation as the Government is also ready to train and retrain those that require extra skills.
