Easter celebration: Okorocha urges Nigerians to pray for Peace. Unity and Progress

The Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has urged Christians in Nigeria to pray for peaceful co-existence, unity and progress in the country while celebrating this year's Easter.

In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Ebere Uzoukwa, Governor Okorocha pointed out that the celebration of death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ calls for sober reflection considering the challenges threatening the unity of the nation.

He said, "As we celebrate this year's Easter, may I urge the Christians and Nigerians to pray for peace, unity and progress in the country. The celebration of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ calls for sober reflection and prayers especially on the current challenges threatening the unity of the Nigerian nation".
He called for prayers for the leaders seeking divine protection for them as well guiding them in taking the right decisions in the interest of the people.
