MADUMERE IS THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR

Prince Eze Madumere, MFR, the Deputy Governor of Imo State has yet again emerged the best Deputy Governor in the South East of Nigeria, which will be conferred on him on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Rockview Hotels in Owerri.

In a press released signed by the Publisher of Newname Newspaper and also the publishers of Newname Magazines, Dr. Rita Moses, she said Madumere emerged as the Best Deputy Governor of the year, South East as a result of his exemplary life in service to humanity.

In their release, reading in parts, "It is on record that in demonstration of his charity, he devoted a substantial amount of his income to cater for orphans and other less-privileged in the society. He has also exhibited a rare passion and commitment towards achieving peace through his crisis resolution strategies. His ability to resolve Orsu-Obodo- ADDAX Oil crises, Irete-Nigeria Bottling Company age long crises have put him ahead of many. Prince Madumere, has also shown what to takes as a Deputy Governor to have a peaceful and cordial working relationship with his boss, the Governor through his humility and loyalty.'

However, Madumere's history with negotiation and crises management and resolution dates back over twenty years ago. He had resolved a matter in his immediate community of Ezi in Mbieri, which could caused bloody clash were it not his timely intervention. That effort gave birth to Prince Ee Madumere Unity Cup, which united thenYouths of the community and rallied round them and galvanized them to all stand for peaceful resolution.

It will be recalled that Archbishop of Anglican Church, Rev. Dr. Beneth Okoro had described Prince Eze Madumere, MFR, as the Best Deputy Governor Imo State has ever had. Prince Eze Madumere as well emerged the most recognized Deputy Governor in the South East on the Igbo online platform through a survey.

His exploit at demystifying power and political offices is well known. As the former Chief of Staff to Governor Okorocha, he was the most accessible Chief of Staff and has remained the most effective from the the survey so far conducted among the political appointees.

In retrospect, Prince Madumere was also honored with National Honours Award of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) for his care for the down trodden, less privileged and contribution in enriching Nigeria's democracy for for standing to be counted even in the face of intimidation from a cruel government. He was also incarcerated on spurious claims under Ikedi Ohakim's administration. Today, he is known as the Mandela of Imo State.

For the love his people have for him, he was recognized as the Ogbuhuruzo of Mbaitoli. However, in all Prince Madumere has maintained that in all these he owes to God and Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Governor of Imo State.

AS PRINCE EZE MADUMERE MFR, TURNS 1 IN OFFICE.......!

PRINCE EZE MADUMERE MFR, (MR. HUMILITY) IS ONE YEAR IN OFFICE AS IMO DEPUTY GOVERNOR.

On your marks, set, go! This is found in the dictionary of athletes. This connotes that there are rules in the game. In sprinting and other sporting events,  observable rules are necessary to avoid cheating and to also, play out the equality ideals that as we are born equal. The naked truth is that some people will eventually become more equal than others by their input, creativity, resilience, industry and dint of hard work.

Exactly on March 31, 2013, the Prince of Imo State, Ezeakonobi Madumere, MFR, a child of destiny, by circumstances stirred up by the ecclesiastical design became the Deputy Governor of Imo State. What chronicled into that manifestation of fate, I must say, is already known by most us.

On that fateful day, after a revered Chief Judge of Imo State, Justice Benjamin Njemanze, adorned in his traditional regalia of Justice, mounted the platform of enthronement with all the oath and swearing. Yes! Madumere, promised to always defend the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

After that ceremony, it was time for him to accept and respond to the charges. In his words, he said, " I never dreamt to be a Deputy Governor. I was content as the Chief of Staff enjoying my close relationship with my boss. My position may have changed as a Deputy Governor. I believe I know the danger of power and its temporary nature. Power cannot change me. I will remain as loyal and humble as I have always been. I will abide by all the precepts expected of me."

Prince Ezeakonobi Madumere remains what he is in strength of character and in humility. I must say, he has proven a consistent character who cannot be swayed by what he sees. His loyalty has remained legendary. His supportive role to the leader of Rescue Mission Government, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has remained undisputed.

I have learned effective communication from this great leader. Knowing the intricacies of human minds, the Prince will always communicate in unambiguous manner even to his staff so as to remove doubts and maintain focus in pursuit of policies and programmes of government.

This master strategist per excellence  has remained an operational person as this could account for his love for tennis shoes. Like our amiable Governor, his deputy has again demystified the mysteries surrounding the office of the Deputy Governor. He is accessible as he relates freely like any other human being, especially the commoners. He has given hope to many. Seeking means to solving people's problem is one rare virtue no one can take away from Imo Deputy Governor.

His love for peace is only natural. Tracing his feat in reconciling organizations and communities that took to war path are still fresh in the minds of many. At his home front in Achi Mbieri, through his master stroke in mobilizing the youth and bringing them together saved what would have been a violent engagement. That success story was the birth of Prince Eze Madumere Unity Cup.

Further more, Orsu Obodo, Awarra, Irete Communities will tell you more about Prince Madumere's meticulous adoptions and sacrifices for peace. Nigeria bottling Company Plc (Coca-Cola), Walter Smith, Addax Oil, Agip and Shell will tell you about a negotiator who at all times have remained fair to all.

A Mandela of our time as many will readily prefer to point at him. This is owing to his bravery against all odds to betray his boss, Owelle Rochas Okorocha OON, which led to his unjust incarceration. He was alleged to have led a group that hurled  sachet water at the convoy of former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and former Governor, Ikedi Ohakim with a view to killing them. It was this effort and sacrifice for Democracy, enthronement of Good leadership and heart of charity that led to his recognition with National Honours Award, Members of the Order of Federal Republic (MFR).

Since his emergence as the Deputy Governor of Imo State, there has been stability and trust in the business of the government. Quality representation, interpretations and delivery of Imo State government's stance in both national and State issues and other discuss as they bother on directives of the Governor.

Meanwhile, in appreciation of his humility, loyalty, performance and general strategic inputs, His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha hearkened unto his cry for rehabilitation of Umudagu and Nkwo Orji-ObazuOrie Mbieri Road.

Apart from the said Road that had been abandoned and forgotten for several years of past administration, Mbaitoli and Ikeduru Local governments, which is his Federal constituency, have got their on fare share in Road revolution going on in the rural communities. Again, Mbaike can boast of twenty four modern primary school buildings, one each in every ward.

On the part of the youths

Madumere, has remained a worthy and adorable son to Ndi Imo. Owerri zone has recognised him as their pride. Okigwe people see him as Nwanne di mba while People from Orlu Zone have adopted him as a worthy son.

In the spirit of building a strong, virile and knowledgable youths, he has, through his Peze Initiative awarded scholarship to many. His yearly talent hunt and development programme has remained dynamic and consistent.

His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha deserves all the accolades for yet another precious gift of Prince Eze Madumere to Ndi Imo, who is like no other.
In all these, what does Madumere want? While your guess may be as good as mine but one thing is sure, Madumere believes not in inordinate ambition.
